Prospero Teaching would like to recruit a knowledgeable SEN Teaching Assistant for KS1 children in a good primary school in Blackpool. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, with good knowledge of the curriculum and clear communication skills.

You will be working with small groups of students and occasionally on a 1-1 basis to manage behaviour, prepare resources and establish learning areas.

POSITION DETAILS:

  • Position- SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Minimum rate of pay- £85 per day
  • Hours- 8:15am-3:45pm
  • Location- Blackpool
  • Full time/part time- Full time only

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Strong understanding of child development.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
