We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our team at a high school in Blackpool, Lancashire. This is a full time role starting in January for the remainder of the academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English up to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, with a focus on delivering engaging and interactive lessons that inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, following the school's curriculum and assessment guidelines
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with different learning styles and abilities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support as necessary to help students achieve their full potential
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities, such as after-school clubs and school events, as required

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and developments.
