The Role
As the Inspiration Centre Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in leading our Inclusion Centre to ensure outstanding provision for students with SEMH. You will:
- Develop and implement systems that promote excellent learning, behaviour, and progress.
- Coordinate tailored support for pupils with SEMH, including through In-School Inclusion Provision (ISIP).
- Supervise and manage daily routines and activities within the Inspiration Centre to maintain a calm, orderly environment.
- Work closely with senior staff to provide specialist teaching and support for pupils at Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring access to the full curriculum.
- Lead restorative practices, mentoring, and pastoral support for students.
- Organise half-termly review meetings with pupils and parents to track progress and plan next steps.
- Manage support assistants and foster a positive, inclusive culture of high expectations and achievement.
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (desirable), or possess a degree-level qualification and leadership experience in Alternative Provision or SEND settings.
- Experienced in supporting students with SEMH, SEND, and EAL (English as an Additional Language).
- Skilled in behaviour management and restorative practices.
- Knowledgeable in the secondary curriculum, including literacy strategies and creative approaches to learning.
- Committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- First-aid trained (or willing to undertake training).
This role is working Term time plus 2 weeks with a salary of 38,626 to 44,711 per annum.
