We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to enhance our Procurement capability. This role offers a great opportunity for a candidate to move into their first management role, mentored by a proven leadership that supports professional development.

Description

As the Purchasing Manager you will:

  • Review the current supply chain and practices to identify further opportunities for improvement
  • Build strong relationships with raw materials, and subcontract manufacturing partners to ensure continuity of supply, quality, and continual investment in ESG benefits
  • With the support of suppliers, push the boundaries on the use of new materials with a lower carbon footprint
  • Monitor market trends and make recommendations for procurement activities.
  • Manage risk in the supply chain and ensure supply capacities are inline with business growth. This will include the sourcing of new suppliers
  • Support a better demand / forecast by educating and working with sales and operations teams

Profile

A successful Purchasing Manager should have:

  • A track record in strategic procurement, evidencing the ability to review, identify, and negotiate with suppliers on a local and international level
  • Have a keen interest in professional development, and either want to step up into a management role or have current leadership experience
  • Motivated by the opportunity for continuous improvement, and ideally have a passion for the development of sustainable supply chains
  • Proven supporting manufacturing environments, and the management of a subcontract manufacturing partners
  • Understanding of the benefits of data driven decision, ensuring the integrity of systems (ERP)
