Due to continued expansion our client, a well-established and reputable travel company is actively seeking an experienced, self-driven and dedicated Travel Consultant to complement their friendly team on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Sales & Operations Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day planning of all elements of a tour including itinerary planning, customer invoicing, ticketing, and final documentation
  • Use effective communication skills to build rapport with clients and exceed their expectations
  • Ensure accurate, customer friendly documentation is sent to clients and suppliers in a timely manner
  • Actively seek out customer feedback and make use of this to constantly improve our services and our customers’ ever-changing needs
  • Understand the needs of customers and work to simplify the tour booking process wherever possible
  • Maintain a good, up to date knowledge of key visits and optional extras for each destination to add value and margin wherever possible
  • Build long term relationships and maximise the retention of clients through excellent customer service and product delivery
  • Minimise the impact of issues and implement improvements to ensure they are avoided wherever possible
  • Work closely with the Product & Marketing Team to research, identify/add new visits and/or products to our portfolio and generate ideas for marketing and promotional activity
  • Ensure the timely collection of due payments to maximise cash flow

As a successful candidate, you will have experience within the travel industry, together with a professional approach to customer service, great attention to detail and geographical knowledge together with excellent IT Skills and experience of MS products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Fluency in a European language would be an advantage but not essential.
