REED Supply Chain are working with and organisation that is a leading player in the manufacturing industry here in South Wales with state-of-the-art facilities. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Manager to join their dynamic team and drive their production processes to new heights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the production process to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing of products.
- Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources and adherence to deadlines.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production supervisors and operators to achieve production targets and maintain high standards of quality.
- Monitor production metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Manage production budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a production management / manufacturing management role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and achieving operational excellence.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse data, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in production management software and tools.
