Our client are a world leader in the aerospace sector looking for a Repair Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in aerospace, particularly in Maintenance Repair & Overhaul. You will be part of a dynamic team, reporting to the engineering manager, and will play a crucial role in supporting both the workshop and design repair schemes.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide high-level support to the workshop and design repair schemes compliant with EASA/UK CAA standards.
  • Familiarise with aircraft engine nacelles, composite materials, and repair design practices and procedures.
  • Develop structurally acceptable and cost-effective repair schemes for a variety of aerospace components, both metallic and composite.
  • Substantiate all schemes to satisfy EASA/UKCAA requirements.
  • Draw basic engineering drawings using CATIA software.
  • Conduct damage investigations and compile detailed reports.
  • Provide full technical support to production teams using comprehensive material and process knowledge.
  • Perform stress analysis in support of the Repair Approval process.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Aerospace background with a minimum of a degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within the aerospace industry, preferably with a repair design background.
  • Proficiency in CATIA and other engineering software desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform stress analysis.
