HR Business Partner

Seeking a role working at the very heart of the community where you can make a real difference? Passionate about mental health, homelessness, housing and young people? Look no further than this HRBP role for a well known charity which has a completely different approach to treating mental health challenges and be part of an exciting, growing movement which has a vision of sustainable wellbeing for all. Based in Blackwood and working across Gwent, Ebbw Vale and RCT, you will enjoy a lot of autonomy and contribute to real, meaningful change. Reporting to the Head of HR you will:

  • Partner with managers on end to end recruitment
  • Support and advise managers on casework, performance management, capability, absence management, TUPE and ER casework
  • Provide advice, suggest solutions and guide managers ensuring best practice
  • Assist Head of HR in updating HR policies, procedures, processes
  • Keep up to date with latest HR trends, modern working practices, EDI
  • Bring fresh ideas, share knowledge with the team and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain HR reports and metrics
  • When required, visit sites in your own area and attend team meetings
  • Participate in organisation-wide HR projects
  • Create MI reports and metrics to improve performance
  • Manage 1 direct report


To be successful in this role, you will be:


  • Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified/working towards or be willing to study towards (CIPD qualification support is provided)
  • A true team player, enthusiastic, motivated and approachable
  • Well experienced HR Generalist with experience of complex HR casework, disciplinary, grievance, TUPE
  • Up to date knowledge of Employment Law
  • Flexible, well able to prioritise competing demands
  • Analytical with excellent attention to detail
  • Accustomed to and enjoy working in a busy, fast paced environment
  • Passionate about delivering high standard customer service
  • Experience of line management
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint
  • Have drivers licence and own vehicle
