Here at The Recruitment Co, we are recruiting s Junior Buyer to work for a company in Blackwood on a temp to perm basis.

Main job roles:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Supply Chain Planner / Buyer will play an
integral part of the team supporting on key functions within the department including below:

  • Procurement,
  • Vendor management,
  • MRP scheduling,
  • Quality Assurance,
  • New Product Development,
  • driving improvement initiatives while maintaining excellent customer service levels and some administrative duties.
  • Using strong commercial and analytical skills the role will create value for the business through effective negotiation of price, contract and service level agreements.

  • The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a track record of achieving cost down benefit to the business.

Education and Experience

  • Educated to degree level - CIPS preferably (or working towards)
  • Supply chain or Procurement experience
  • IT literate with strong spreadsheet knowledge
  • Experience working with a MRP/ERP and SAP system.
  • Experience working in a legislative environment and familiar working with procedures/systems
