Reporting directly to the Commercial and Finance Director, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of UK customers, maximising revenue, share of wallet and profit by building relationships, following up leads and identifying and closing opportunities. The BDM plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and business growth, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who has passion for customer satisfaction and would like to be working in a growing industry. The BDM will have experience working in the food industry and be comfortable working with retailers.

Business Development Manager Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various departments such as production, customer services and supply chain to align business development activities with overall business goals.
  • Manage all required digital and site meetings in accordance with agreed requests.
  • Work towards KPI sales- based targets.
  • Identify opportunities and converting them into profitable business.
  • Optimise revenue streams through innovative solutions and effective negotiation.
  • Oversee the overall sales process.
  • Develop and present proposals tailored to each client specific business needs.

Business Development Manager Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified or have an equivalent level qualification or experience.
  • Experience within the food industry and working with retailers is essential.
  • Previous experience in sales / customer service role.
  • Comfortable using the MS Office suite.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
