To participate in the maintenance of an effective, optimal and safe stores.

Handle and store all materials and equipment in compliance with the requirements dictated by legislation e.g. Health & Safety.

Main Responsibilities

Goods Inwards: 

  • Receipt of deliveries to site, by use of Forklift Trucks
  • Dispositioning of receipted goods including notification of deliveries to other functions
  • Report damage to incoming materials or equipment
  • Provide service for personnel calling in at stores to collect/deliver items

Material Issue: 

  • Issue materials for production per daily work list (Pick-list)
  • Deliver materials/equipment/items to shop floor/work areas as required by use of Forklift Trucks
  • Materials handling equipment
  • Reading and understanding daily work lists
  • Reading and understanding bills of materials
Person Specification
  • Experience in a stores/warehouse environment
  • Experience in operating a computerised stores management system
  • Forklift driving licence / Full driving licence
  • Knowledge of stores management techniques and systems
  • Be conversant with inventory management and stock counting
  • An ability to work in a logical and structured manner
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to take the initiative
  • Committed and dedicated to assigned activities by the company
  • Willing to work reasonable overtime to meet targets
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent attendance levels and a positive attitude
