Job Title: Design Engineer/Draughsperson

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for producing high-quality general arrangement and manufacturing drawings, including material profiles for CNC laser cutting, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and project requirements.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create technical drawings to industry standards.
- Generate sheet/plate pattern profiles for laser cutting.
- Interpret contract documentation and specifications.
- Produce parts lists and bills of materials.
- Liaise with sales, project teams, and management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in developing new products.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
- Experience in an engineering environment.
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding, and machining.
- Proficiency in 2D CAD (AutoCAD); 3D CAD (SolidWorks) desirable.
- Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and ISO 9001.
