We are pleased to be recruiting a CNC Machinist for a client in the Blaenavon area.
Job Purpose
The Machinist role will be to work as part of a team to process product through the Machine shop.
Activities & Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to achieve departmental KPIs.
- Operate manual vertical turning lathes and CNC vertical and horizontal turning lathes.
- Right First Time, On Time In Full.
- Ensuring SOP are followed at all times.
- Record on a daily basis key data and information in accordance with the relevant system/process.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by performing daily TPM, and 5S activities.
- Logging production throughput data onto EFACS.
Education & Qualifications
- Manual Machining experience (both manual and CNC).
- Motion control systems (Fanuc)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (2D) detailed written instructions.
- Experience in programming.
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Computer literate
Hours of Work
This is a 3 shift pattern of days, nights and afternoons - 37 hours per week
Base Salary 15.60 to 19.20 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance)
