Are you skilled in producing wiring looms, cable assemblies, and test equipment to aerospace standards? Adecco Bournemouth is looking for a Prototype Loom and Cable Assembly Technician to join an exciting project within the defence and aerospace sectors.

• Production of Wiring Looms/Cable Assemblies: Skilled in crimping, soldering, lacing, and splicing to aerospace standards.
• Wiring of Cabinets and Fixtures: High-quality wiring aligned with build standards and time frames.

• Assembly of PCBs (desirable but not essential).

Attributes:

• Extensive knowledge of cable types, connectors, and cable assembly techniques.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams.
• Ability to solder to a consistently high standard.
• Familiarity with military-spec connectors and IPC 620 Class 3 cable production techniques.
• Methodical, tidy, and deadline-oriented.
• ESD awareness.
• Own standard wiring tools (specialized tools provided).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Prototype assembly experience in defense/aerospace.
• IPC 620 certification (skills test required).
• Full driving license.
• Eligible for formal Security Check (SC).

• Work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Contribute to high-level engineering projects.
• Opportunities for on-site support at customer premises when required.
