Join our Clients maintenance team, a leading housing association, as an Electrician. This role is crucial in providing quality, affordable homes and making a real difference in people’s lives. You will be part of the  property services team, ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems in properties across Dorset.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in customers’ homes as part of the Electrical Team.
  • Undertake responsive repairs and work within the planned teams in line with work schedules, Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) wiring regulations, and the Company's established standard procedures.
  • Maintain a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
  • Estimate, requisition, and recommend the acquisition of necessary materials and spares to ensure satisfactory repairs and maintenance are carried out in accordance with IEE wiring regulations and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
  • Apply your knowledge and skills to record and report on the status and condition of electrical services equipment via periodic inspection sheets and minor works/installation certificates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Relevant and up-to-date qualifications, including a minimum of NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • 18th Edition (BS7671) and City & Guild 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect certifications or equivalent
  • Experience within a similar role, ideally within the Residential/Housing sector.
  • Strong health and safety knowledge and practices.
  • Full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 year’s driving experience.
