Personnel Selection Andover are recruiting for a company based within Blandford.  Our client would like an additional Wood Shop Assistant to help the current existing team due to an increase of workload.

The candidate will be required to collate wood parts to create and assemble pieces ready for the next process of manufacture.   

This is a full time ongoing temporary role however it may lead to a permanent position later down the line depending on the clients workload. 

Working hours are: 07.00 - 16.45hrs Monday to Thursday.

To be considered for the role you need to meet the following criteria;

  • Can demonstrate a strong previous working history in a hands on manufacturing, assembly or production environment.
  • Confident with the use hand tools and equipment.
  • Able to use power tools.
  • Previous wood handling experience an advantage but not essential.
  • Be fit and healthy as lots of bending, kneeling and lifting involved.
  • Confident with sharp tools and cutting equipment.
  • A good work ethic and can do" attitude is essential.
