Position: Contentious Probate Senior Associate (Hybrid) Location: South Dorset Salary: Flexible, competitive I’m working on a NEW exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor with a strong background in contentious probate to join a highly regarded Legal 500 firm in Dorset. The role has come about due to continued growth and an increasing workload, creating a need for a skilled solicitor to step into a key position below Partner level.Ideally, you will have at least 8 years’ PQE (relevant experience outside of this also welcome) and the expertise to guide and mentor more junior members of the team. The firm has a well-established reputation across the Southwest, handling a variety of complex national and international matters. Business development and networking are key aspects of the role, and the successful candidate will play an active part in building client relationships and expanding the firm’s presence.The Private Client team is structured with 3 Partners and 8 Fee Earners, and the department benefits from a pool of support staff, with access to a dedicated Assistant (progressing to a Paralegal this year). The Head of Department splits their time between offices, and the firm is open to candidates based across their locations, provided they have a solid foundation in contentious probate and supervisory experience.This is a firm known for its excellent culture, career progression, and strong emphasis on work-life balance. The most recent Partner was promoted after just one year as a Senior Associate, having been with the firm since qualifying. Hybrid working is available, and while WFH is supported, involvement with the team is encouraged. A competitive salary is offered, with expectations open to discussion.
