Aspire Jobs are delighted to be working with our client who are a well-established family run business and who are now looking for an additional member of staff to join their hardworking team of 15 at their warehouse in Blandford, Dorset.

The successful Operations coordinator will need to have some knowledge of the logistics sector having worked in a warehouse or distribution environment previously. The successful candidate must be someone who has great attention to detail, computer literate and have excellent customer service skills. You will need to have the ability to work independently and be comfortable to make decisions with minimal supervision. This is a varied role, you must be comfortable to work in a warehouse environment as not all of the duties are office based. You may also be required to travel to another Warehouse of theirs from time to time.

Job duties for the operations Coordinator are: -

  • Supporting the team with administrative tasks including generating pick notes, dispatching orders, pod’s, printing commercial invoices, dangerous goods notes, goods in receipting, scanning documentation, transport planning/updating COM, CDM, pre alerts to port agents/customers etc
  • Minute taking as and when required
  • Liaising with 3rd party logistic partners
  • Support with repairs and maintenance schedules and callout
  • Health and safety admin. Make sure toolbox and risk assessments, work instructions, company procedures and policies are signed by the team and return to QSHE Manager. Following up pending documents that need to be filled out
  • Being the key point of communication between the warehouse and the head office
  • Assisting with the maintenance of training records as required by the Office Manager/QSHE Manager.
  • Supporting with absence reporting onto You Manage (HR system), liaising with Line managers to ensure return to works and self-certifications are done and uploaded onto the internal system
  • Ensure that any documentation that is on display is up to date, ensure stand-up notes are communicated throughout the warehouses
  • Support with organising external and internal meetings
  • Assist with onboarding and inductions, walk arounds, risk assessments for temporary and permanent staff
  • Any other warehouse duties as and when required
  • Any other applicable operational duties.
