TeamJobs is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the continuous operation of our client's machinery and equipment. This role is vital for the progress, development, and efficiency of our manufacturing operations.

- 4 day working week
- Monday 7am to 5.30pm
- Tuesday to Thursday 7am to 5pm

The maintenance engineer will ensure that the facilities, layout, and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical and production equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Adhere to daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of site.
- Conducting frequent quality checks on equipment to ensure no maintenance is required.
- Completing emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down.
- Keeping a record of preventive and emergency maintenance carried out.
- Ensuring the organisation complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place.
- Schedule both internal and external work(s).
- Optimise equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality, ensuring maximum uptime.
- Undertake continuous training and development.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation.
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
What we require from you:
- A time served apprenticeship in Mechanical and Electrical engineering would be considered essential.
- NVQ level 3 - 4 / BTEC Mechanical Engineer or electrical bias is expected as a min qualification.
- Extended education to HND level in the following subjects would be preferred.

- Experience and capacity to understand a range of engineering functions and procedures
- Teamworking skills to liaise with people at all levels
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- The confidence to respond positively when under pressure
