JOB - Quality Manager
LOCATION - Dorset
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £50,000-£55,000per annum

My client designs and manufactures equipment for various sectors, and they are looking to take on a Quality Manager on a permanent basis in the Dorset area. Experience with IATF16949 within the Automotive sector would be beneficial but highly regulated industries would also be considered.

The Quality Manger will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance
  • Management experience in a quality role
  • Engineering background - preferably Engineering / Management degree
  • Strategic and methodical mindset
  • Extensive knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Ensuring compliance to quality standards and procedures
  • Audit Qualification

The Quality Manger role will involve:

  • Developing and managing the QMS in relation to IATF16949
  • Leading Continuous Improvement
  • Training and mentoring staff within the quality department
  • Streamlining quality process and procedures
  • Liaising with a variety of departments and external stakeholders
  • Attending staff meetings
  • Ensuring compliance to all policies and procedures
  • Conducting internal audits
