Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher with the ability to inspire students to excel in Maths? GSL Education are currently looking for a Maths Teacher to join a local school based in Blandford.

About the Role:

As a Maths Teacher, you play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education tailored to individual student requirements, cultivating a deep understanding and appreciation for mathematical concepts. This encompasses teaching across the curriculum, adapting methods and resources to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities, and providing engaging lessons with personalised guidance.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges. 
  • Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to thrive. 
  • Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make math relevant and engaging for students. 
  • Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices. 
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning and respectful behaviour among students. 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus. 
  • Teaching certification in Mathematics. 
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS 
  • Previous experience of teaching mathematics at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory. 
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum. 
  • Experience of working with SEN students.
