We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for educating and inspiring students. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to manage behaviour, and experience working with children in various capacities, including special education and childcare. You will be responsible for working with 4-6 young primary aged learners with a range of SEN needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Educate students in accordance with the curriculum while promoting critical thinking and creativity.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
  • Provide tutoring support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance and behaviour.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a supportive educational community.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous.
  • Experience in childcare or preschool settings is desirable.
  • Ability to proofread educational materials for clarity and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with physical education principles is a plus.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development in teaching methodologies.
  • A positive attitude towards behaviour management strategies that foster student engagement.
