REED Recruitment Accountancy and Finance are actively recruiting for a Sherborne based client recruiting an AAT Part Qualified AAT Level 4 Qualified candidate with an interest in Tax and looking to start ATT.   • The successful candidate will work on a portfolio of entities and individuals for whom they will:
  • - Ensure all finance functions and accounting records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
  • - Maintain personal tax records of worldwide information, for UK self-assessment tax returns, drafting required calculations for example capital gains disposal computations.
  • - Undertake all prime entry bookkeeping tasks.
  • - Prepare regular bank account reconciliations.
  • - Manage the sales and purchase ledgers.
  • - Process bank payments as required, including payments of self-assessment tax to HMRC.
  • - Maintain all fixed asset registers, ledgers and control accounts accurately.
  • - Prepare management accounts to trial balance and assist with the preparation of year end accounts with supporting files for internal and external review. Includes preparation of sole trader and property rental income and expenditure information for tax returns.
  • - Assist with the preparation of VAT returns ensuring these are submitted on time.
  • - Undertake project work as required including ad-hoc tax research
The role requires an individual who is confident, willing to learn with excellent organisation, communication and IT skills.Formal studies for the ATT (Association of Taxation Technicians) qualification will be supported by targeted, on the job training and support.Our client offers a competitive salary, full study package and generous staff benefits.
