Overview:
Heels & Brogues Recruitment is working with a well-known client based in the North East seeking an experienced AV Engineer. The role involves installing, commissioning, and supporting various audio-visual systems, including projectors, displays, sound systems, and control solutions, at various on-site locations.

Key Responsibilities for AV Engineer:

  • Install, configure, and commission AV equipment, including projectors, displays, sound systems, and control systems.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine optimal AV solutions.
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients.
  • Collaborate with other departments and contractors on-site for seamless AV integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system performance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Experience in AV installation, including sound systems, video displays, and control systems or similar field.
  • Proficiency in cabling (cat5/5e/6/6A and fibre optic).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with AV testing equipment.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices, especially when working at heights.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Self-motivated, with good time management and communication skills.

Desirable for AV Engineer:

  • Experience with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX).
  • CSCS/ECS card and basic networking knowledge.
  • IPAF/PASMA certification for safe working at height.
  • SC or DV clearance is advantageous.
