Overview:
Heels & Brogues Recruitment is working with a well-known client based in the North East seeking an experienced AV Engineer. The role involves installing, commissioning, and supporting various audio-visual systems, including projectors, displays, sound systems, and control solutions, at various on-site locations.
Key Responsibilities for AV Engineer:
- Install, configure, and commission AV equipment, including projectors, displays, sound systems, and control systems.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine optimal AV solutions.
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients.
- Collaborate with other departments and contractors on-site for seamless AV integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Experience in AV installation, including sound systems, video displays, and control systems or similar field.
- Proficiency in cabling (cat5/5e/6/6A and fibre optic).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with AV testing equipment.
- Understanding of health and safety practices, especially when working at heights.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Self-motivated, with good time management and communication skills.
Desirable for AV Engineer:
- Experience with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX).
- CSCS/ECS card and basic networking knowledge.
- IPAF/PASMA certification for safe working at height.
- SC or DV clearance is advantageous.
