Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a number of Fabricators/Factory Operators for our client based in Blaydon, Tyne and Wear.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in fabricating components using various materials and techniques. The Fabricator will be responsible for assembling parts and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate components according to specifications and drawings.
  • To perform one or all of the following roles that will vary depending on workload; Tape profiles, Saw-man, CNC Operator and Fabricator.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Work with sheet metal to create custom fabrications as required.
  • Conduct basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process.
  • Ensure that each item accurately complies with specification.

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical knowledge and experience in fabrication processes.
  • Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Experience working with sheet metal is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

For candidates who don't have much Fabrication experience, full training can be given.

Shifts

8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-3:30pm Friday

Pay rate

11.44-15 depending on experience
