My client, an industry leading aerospace engineering firm are currently seeking an experienced and collaborativeContinuous Improvement Engineerto champion the implementation of Continuous Improvement, Lean methodology and problem-solving initiatives.

Working closely with the operations manager theContinuous Improvement Engineerwill be responsible for implementing strategy with a focus on monitoring and assessing the processes that improve quality and reduce waste with clear, measurable outcomes. You will also be responsible for leading and managing CI processes whilst promoting a culture of accountability.

Duties will include:

  • Leading regular onsite CI events. Providing training and coaching to plant personnel
  • Transferring your knowledge and experience to plant personnel through shopfloor improvement activities.
  • Identifying and implementing metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of process improvements, analysing results, and developing improvement plans.
  • Supporting the investigation of new machinery, technologies to streamline processes and reduce costs.

In this multifaceted role you will need a blend of analytical, problem-solving, and strong interpersonal skills with the tenacity to challenge the status quo. Hands-on experience implementing continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing/engineering environments is essential.

You will also need:

  • Experience engaging with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with 5S, 5Why and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. FMEA and Ishikawa would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Core hours of work are Monday-Thursday, 8.15am-5pm and Friday 8.30am-1.15pm. Salary based on experience.
