My client, an industry leading aerospace engineering firm are currently seeking aCNCMachine Shop Operativeto join their manufacturing team on aNIght Shift.
As aCNCMachine Shop Operative, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining variousCNCmachines, turning, milling and drilling, used in the production of components and products.
Main Duties
- Operate and maintain CNC machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure components meet required tolerances
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements
- At least 18 months of manufacturing/engineering CNC experience
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Shift patterns
Night Shift. Mon-Thurs 6pm-6am(46 hours)
Training will be on a day shift (48 hours) Mon-Thurs 6am-4.30pm and Fri 6am-2.30pm, usually for 3 months. A 15% night shift premium will be added once fully trained and working the night shift.
