LMC Operator or Weekend Operator

Do you have experience within a production or manufacturing environment? Do you consider yourself to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Blunham?

This role is ideal for someone with machine operating experience and a safety-first approach, although training will be provided.

Role - Production Operative - LMC Team Member

Location: DS Smith Packaging, South Mills, The Ridgeway, Blunham, Bedford MK44 3PH, United Kingdom

Rate: 14.49 per hour (paid breaks)

Shift: Friday to Sunday: 06:00 to 18:00, 36 Hours per Week

Overtime available at X1.5

Contract Length: Temp to Perm, (3 months initially)

Start: Following a site tour on 30th January 2025, the view to start ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently

  • Ensure productivity and performance targets are met

  • Maintain consistent quality standards

  • Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as per schedule

  • Adhere to UK Health and Safety legislation at all times

  • Support improvement initiatives as needed

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience within a production or manufacturing environment

  • Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation

  • Safety-focused with a positive, enthusiastic attitude

  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Team player, quality-conscious, and adaptable to multi-skilled working
