I am delighted to be working with a leading Tier 1 construction contractor renowned for our expertise in commercial builds. Their projects range from brand-new schools to large-scale hospital developments. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
They are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team on a freelance basis. This temporary role is crucial to the successful delivery of their upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and be adept at managing costs, contracts, and project finances.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project budgets and cost plans
- Conduct cost analysis and risk management
- Overseeing procurement processes and managing subcontractor accounts
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions
- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project success
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the commercial construction sector
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, cost management software)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
