Senior QS - North East | Contract PositionWe are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Blyth. The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as the commercial lead while also covering day-to-day QS duties, with an advantage if you have experience within Data Centre construction.Key Responsibilities:As a senior member of the team, your responsibilities would include but not limited to,- Act as Commercial Lead on designated projects- Ensure all contractual procedures are followed - Prepare tender documents, contracts & budgets.- Manage project cost control systems- Identify value engineering opportunities Qualifications:The following qualifications would need to accompany this role;-A degree or similar qualification in quantity surveying or relevant field is required.-Membership of RICS (Royal Institution Of Chartered Surveyors) desirable but not essential.Skills Required:To succeed at this position you should possess excellent interpersonal skills combined with strong negotiation abilities. You must also showcase solid analytical thinking capabilities alongside efficient problem-solving techniques that can identify potential issues before they arise.Other key skills needed includes;-Solid understanding of NEC/ECC/ JCT form contract management knowledge;-Proven track record working across multiple sites/projects simultaneously; -The ability read drawings/understand technical specifications -Good Excel /IT Skills Rate:The company offers £400 per day based on 5 days work week starting from Monday-Friday inclusive.Likelihood role will fall Outside IR35 so you will be able to work through your Ltd company.
