We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our client’s dedicated maintenance team.
This role involves working with a variety of cargo handling plant including FLT, Cranes, and Heavy Plant. The position requires flexibility and a proactive attitude, as it includes assisting with the loading/unloading of cargos and potentially learning all aspects of Stevedoring.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Regular servicing and repair of FLT, Cranes, and Heavy Plant.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of cargos as needed.
- Learn and potentially operate various plant and equipment as part of Stevedoring duties.
- Work predominantly on day shifts, but with the flexibility to cover shifts and weekends when necessary.
- Overtime may be required to meet the needs of the business.
- Travel between four sites.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, particularly with FLT, Cranes, and Heavy Plant.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full driving licence is essential.
