The School and Role

This Secondary SEND School, based in Blyth is looking to appoint a passionate Learning Support Assistant to work in Key Stage 3 and 4 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this Secondary SEND School as part of an established team, the desired Learning Support Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviour. This full time Learning Support Assistant role is long term from February ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

The school aims to provide a high-quality, inclusive and personalised education for pupils with SEMH needs that meets their individual needs and aspirations. They do this by creating a safe, supportive and stimulating learning environment where everyone is valued, respected and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Requirements

The desired Learning Support Assistant will have;

-          Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children

-          Experience of working with pupils with SEND

-          A passion for the progress of SEND secondary school pupils

-          An ability to work as part of a team

-          An ability to deal with fast paced situations.
