The School and Role

This Primary SEN School, based in Northumberland is looking to appoint a passionate Classroom Support Assistant to work in Key Stage 1 or 2 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this Primary SEND School as part of an established team, the desired Primary SEN Teaching Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis with pupils with SEND including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Learning Disabilities, Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) and Associated Behavioural Difficulties. This full time Primary SEN Teaching Assistant role is long term from February ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements

The desired Primary SEN Teaching Assistant will have;

-          Experience of working with primary school aged children

-          Experience of working with pupils with SEND

-          A passion for the progress of SEND primary school pupils

-          An ability to work as part of a team
