Join my client, a global food company renowned for delivering prime cuts of meat and innovative food concepts to international retailers and foodservice brands. Their Bodmin site, dedicated to cattle products, is looking for an HR Manager to lead their People Agenda and foster a Great Place to Work environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Design and execute a site-specific HR strategy in alignment with the Group People Strategy, empowering the management team to achieve their business goals.
  • Provide comprehensive HR services ensuring an exceptional employee experience from recruitment and onboarding to engagement, development, and recognition.
  • Implement Group policies and adhere to industry best practices, enhancing performance and fostering a culture of high performance and talent development.
  • Lead the training function, customizing plans to enhance workforce capabilities, skills, and performance.
  • Act as a key member of the Group HR team, contributing to the development and implementation of people-focused initiatives.
  • Support strategic workforce planning, identifying risks and opportunities, and designing solutions to achieve organisational goals.
  • Mentor and develop the site management team, enhancing their people management skills to drive productivity, engagement, and inclusivity.
  • Lead the HR team to provide top-tier HR service, encouraging development and progression within the department.
  • Deliver insightful people metrics to enhance communication, gain insights, and drive performance.
  • Champion their Values, driving efforts to create an exceptional workplace.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A Third Level HR Qualification or comparable certification.
  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on generalist HR experience, ideally within a food production/manufacturing or high-volume environment.
  • Strong operational focus with demonstrated commercial acumen.
  • Expertise in resourcing, particularly in strategic workforce planning and forecasting.
  • Ability to manage complex relationships and be an influential member of the senior management team.
  • Proficiency in organizational design and delivering site-specific people strategies.
  • Proven track record in effective people management.
