Stock Controller/Planner

Staffline is recruiting for a Stock Controller/Planner based in Bodmin.

The rate of pay is £14.71 per hour.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday and the hours of work are:
- 8am to 4:30pm.

Your Time at Work

As a Stock Controller, you will need to ensure cost-effective planning and stock control of material supplies in manufacturing and packing operations. Other duties include:

- Producing time-phased material requirements based on planned production, bills of material, lead times, order quantities, and safety stock.
- Maximising material availability within prescribed stock holding parameters.
- Develop continuously improving relationships with suppliers, purchasing, site operations, planning, NPD, and commercial teams.
- Responsible for all stock-taking functions throughout the site.
- Carrying out other duties that may reasonably be requested of you to ensure the efficient running of the business.

Our ideal Stock Controller will have the following experience:

- Experience of Stock control within the food industry
- Proven track record to effectively deal with suppliers
- Understand the application and suitability of materials ordered
- Understand individual customer requirements and individual supplier capabilities
- Ability to work in an organised and methodical way
- Previous MRP, Purchasing, or Stock Control Experience (Essential)
- Previous Scheduling Experience
- Project Management
- Organisational ability
- Supplier-facing experience
- Understand the impact of stock projections on cash flow
- Understand the impact of obsolescence, profit improvement, and failure to supply on profitability
- Good SAP & Arolink skills
- Good Excel skills
