Our client, an independent consultancy is currently seeking a dedicated and proficient Senior/Town Planner to join their team based in Cornwall. This permanent position offers a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to contribute to a variety of planning applications, including full planning, certificates of lawfulness, non-material amendments, discharge of conditions, pre-applications, and appeals.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and coordinating broad ranges of planning applications
  • Preparing and submitting certificates of lawfulness
  • Handling non-material amendments and discharge of conditions
  • Conducting pre-applications and managing appeal processes
  • Engaging with clients, providing expert planning advice and support
  • Collaborating closely with the planning team to ensure project success
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of planning legislation and policies
  • Representing clients at planning committees and public inquiries as required


Job Requirements:

  • Strong experience in town planning
  • Excellent understanding of planning legislation and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
  • Relevant qualification in town planning or a related discipline
