Reporting To: Engineering Manager

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to support our clients engineering team. Your role will be to ensure the smooth running and maintenance of key equipment such as cooking, mixing, sealing, and conveyor systems. You will respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and efficiency.
Similar roles include: maintenance engineer, multiskilled maintenance engineer, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, maintenance technician, industrial engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.
* Perform electrical & mechanical fault-finding and ensure equipment is safe and compliant.
* Support machinery installations and equipment relocation.
* Drive continuous improvement projects to optimise plant reliability.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues

Skills & Abilities Required:
* Knowledge of food safety standards, quality management systems, and audit compliance in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Effective time management, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Proficient in using relevant IT software programs and engineering tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
* NVQ3 in Electrical / Multi-skilled Engineering.
* IOSH certification essential.
* 18th Edition Electrical Regulations BS7671.
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
* Understanding of Root Cause Analysis and practical problem-solving skills.
