Responsibility for ensuring CHL comply with the requirements of ACOP L8, The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems. Approved Code of Practice and Guidance; Legionella technical guidance, HSG 274, Parts 2 & 3; The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 (Water reg's) and all other relevant legislation.* Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of staff, customers and contractors at all times* Ensuring service delivery complies with current regulations, contract documentation, all working standards and directives whilst driving performance management and efficiency. This may include conducting or organising on site WIP and post QC checks to evidence full compliance with this requirement.* Directing works and making decisions relative to the carrying out of duties to ensure the safe and timely delivery of day to day, planned/cyclical works, improvement works and compliance contracts/services for the business.* Supporting the Mechanical, Electrical & Water Hygiene Manager in contract/performance management, pricing, quantifying and specifying works.* Ensuring that the business meets its delivery plan objectives and that a safe, high quality, efficient and effective service is provided to our customers.What you'll need to succeed

  • Relevant compliance related professional qualification and/or membership of a relevant professional body
  • Successful and consistent achievement in the delivery of compliance related services at a supervisory level in a property compliance related area and a track record of successfully working with external bodies to achieve project specific aims and objectives.
  • Proven knowledge of current property services compliance regulations.
  • Proven ability to generate compliance related improvement reports for senior management scrutiny and approval.
  • Experienced and competent in the use of ICT systems, document management systems, spreadsheets, mobile working platforms, etc.
  • Proven experience of developing partnership working, building effective relationships and enhancing the reputation of CHL with stakeholders and partners
  • Sound understanding of procurement processes, contracts, Health and Safety and risk management on different contracts and types of work.
  • Experience of building relationships with regulatory bodies, external auditors and contractors and proven track record to develop his/her team.
  • A successful track record of establishing and sustaining a performance management culture, supported by effective and efficient management information systems
  • Good understanding and experience of financial management plus proven knowledge and experience of health and safety requirements, risk management and contract management.
  • Experience and competent in carrying out on site spot checks, WIP and post QC audit checks for existing and new contracts to evidence full compliance with current regulations, works specification and contract documentation.
  • Significant track record of success in building effective teams and leading professional staff (in several disciplines) to achieve works delivery
  • Has excellent demonstrable ability to motivate, support, develop and coach the team or individuals across CHL, providing sound and professional advice, guidance and direction
  • Possess or has the ability and willingness to achieve IOSH Managing Safely Award and maintain/add to current compliance related qualifications. (Continued professional development)
