Job Summary:

The Welder and Fabricator is responsible for cutting, joining, and shaping metal components to required specifications using various welding and fabrication techniques. The role involves reading blueprints, using welding equipment, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship while maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Welding & Fabrication:

    • Perform MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), and Arc welding based on project requirements.
    • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using various tools such as grinders, plasma cutters, and torches.
    • Operate fabrication machinery including press brakes, shears, and drill presses.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong welding skills in MIG, TIG, Stick, or other welding techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of metal properties, fabrication techniques, and welding standards.
  • Ability to operate and maintain welding and fabrication tools/machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and work in demanding conditions.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
