The role will involve handling a caseload of conveyancing transactions from inception through to completion,which will vary depending upon experience but will include:
- Managing a caseload of conveyancing files under supervision including general file maintenance ofroutine correspondence and telephone calls, legal drafting and ensuring full compliance with CQS.
- Providing quotes to prospective clients and winning the business by being prompt, professional andfriendly.
- Progressing residential purchases and sales to a high standard of client care for both new and existing clients to maintain the repeat business.
- Updating and utilising the case management system effectively thereby reducing the use of paper where possible and speeding up the process.
- Communicating internally with the Conveyancing Team, support staff and the Finance Department and externally with clients, referrers, estate agents and other third parties.
- Verifying clients and giftors identification and raising any potential money laundering concerns to the Compliance officer.
- Drafting legal documentation
- Reporting on title.
- Preparing for and executing exchange and completion
- Undertaking general administration.
- Supporting the Conveyancing Partner in marketing activities on both a local and a national level to develop new clients within agreed financial budget and timescales
- Assisting colleagues in relation to complex cases and working as a team.
- Planning and prioritising case and file management of national and local clients under supervision.
- Developing and retaining new clients according to an agreed development strategy.
- Adhering to the Firms financial policies of invoicing.
- Undertaking training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
- Assisting the team in providing holiday cover when required.
