Our client, a market leading manufacturer, is currently looking for an experienced Turret Punch Operator to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis. They are continuing to grow at an impressive rate due to their excellent reputation and trusted expertise in their field.

Turret Punch Operator - Roles & Responsibilities

  • Programme, set and operate an Amada Europe 258 hydraulic turret punch for metal fabrication.
  • Use CADCAM software to programme parts for the turret punch machine.
  • Perform tooling changes and machine setups to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Load raw materials onto machines using a forklift.
  • Measure fabricated parts against technical drawings to ensure fine tolerances are met.
  • Liaise with the purchasing manager for material procurement and use MS Office (Outlook, Excel) to manage job flow and team communication.
  • Contribute to a continuous improvement environment, helping streamline processes and enhance production efficiency.

Turret Punch Operator - Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in sheet metal fabrication.
  • Experience with turret punch machines or similar machinery in a production environment.
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software for programming machinery, ideally Lantek.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and organise jobs efficiently.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience with CNC press brake machines (Amada HFE100-3).
  • Familiar with MIG welding, as well as operating guillotines, pillar drills, lathes, and fly presses.
  • An engineering qualification or certification.
  • A valid Reach Forklift Truck Licence.
