Job OverviewWe are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our clients’ small but dedicated culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in food preparation and meal preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a love for creating wholesome well loved dishes. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for brigade management in the absence of the Head Chef and to ensure food safety standards are met whilst delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Duties

·Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.

·Menu management

·Manage the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence.

·Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

·Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Experience

·Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or cafe environment.

·Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety standards.

·Minimum of a Level 2 food hygiene.

·A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.

·Proven people management skills.

·Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

·Flexible with working hours to cover other team members’ holidays.
