Pay – £140.86 - £215 per day (depending on experience)

Hours - 8am – 4PM
Temporary Full-time with the potential to become permanent
Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team starting in September 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language, with the ability to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).
Responsibilities
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and department initiatives.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and activities.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational best practices and developments.
Requirements
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â A degree in English or a related field.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Excellent communication and organizational skills.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Commitment to continuous professional development.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Desirable
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Experience teaching English at the GCSE and A-Level.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Familiarity with the latest educational technology and methods.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Enthusiasm for extracurricular activities, particularly in literature and the arts.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a committed team player
- Proven track record of raising attainment
- Be confident and adaptable to different environments
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Be able to deliver Art & Design in a fun and engaging way that students can relateÂ
- ·        Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
- You will be required to work confidently with Key Stage 3-5 pupils.
