- Teaching:Deliver engaging and comprehensive history lessons to students across various grade levels, utilising a range of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Leadership:Assist the Head of the History Department in curriculum planning, development, and implementation. Provide mentorship and support to fellow history teachers.
- Student Support:Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Offer academic guidance and support to students, encouraging critical thinking and a love for history.
- Extracurricular Activities:Lead or support history-related extracurricular activities, such as history clubs, field trips, and special projects.
- Professional Development:Stay current with educational best practices and historical scholarship. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
Qualifications:
- Education:QTS or a relevant discipline.
- Leadership Skills:Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire colleagues and students. Previous leadership experience is a plus.
- Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
- Passion for History:Deep knowledge of historical content and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
