Homeless support worker - Nights

£12.89ph (Enhanced rate for waking night)

The Role:

1to1 Group are working in partnership with a homeless charity that supports adults and young people. We are helping to recruit relief workers to support the individuals staying within the hostels and visiting the day centre.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical and emotional support to individuals experiencing homelessness, including advice on housing, employment, and welfare benefits.
  • Help clients develop life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and self-care, to promote independence.
  • Provide crisis intervention and safeguarding
  • Support clients with budgeting, managing finances, and addressing debt or benefit issues.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development.
  • Conduct regular case reviews with the clients to ensure they are invested and working on gaining their independence.
  • Facilitate access to education, training, and employment opportunities for long-term stability.
