We are recruiting for a Furniture Builder/Sales Assistant to join our wonderful Bognor Regis (Arun Park) team and deliver an excellent retail service, ensuring that every customer has a great shopping experience. As a valued Sales Assistant you will contribute towards maximising shop sales and profits as well as the successful day to day running of the shop and deputise for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in their absence.

The successful candidate will support with sales, stock rotation, organising displays and store tidying and much more, whilst representing Age UK in a professional manner and reflecting our core values.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to handle/lift bags of stock (up to 10kgs.)

To ensure the smooth running of our stores, we will be conducting interviews throughout the advertising process. Early applications are advised.

About you

* You will have good hands on technical skills with the ability to build flat pack furniture to a quality standard and to tight deadlines. * You should have good coordination skills and the ability to complete some heavy lifting.* You'll be a great team worker and happy communicating with a range of different people. * A basic understanding of health & safety and fire regulations will be important* Full driving licence and the ability to travel between store locations

Additional Information

Flexible approach to work required. Occasional requirement to work outside of normal area or work additional days to cover holiday/sickness. Processing stock deliveries will regularly involve carrying and moving (sometimes heavy) bags of stock. You will also be on your feet for long periods of time and work in all weather.
