Sonic Summary
- Our client in Boldon Colliery is seeking an Electrical CAD Engineer to join their engineering team.
- The position is permanent with a salary of up to £35,000 depending on experience.
- Candidates should have experience in producing 2D electrical schematics and interconnection drawings for LV Distribution and Control.
- A minimum of an ONC or equivalent qualification is required, along with essential skills in AutoCAD and electrical control knowledge.
- The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 08:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday from 08:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Salary:
Up to 35k depending on experience
Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday 08:30am - 5pm
Friday 08:30am - 1.30pm
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for Producing 2D electrical schematics and interconnection drawings for LV Distribution and Control.
Interpret customer requirements and technical specifications and responsibility for the following:
* Solidworks / AutoCad operator focusing on electrical requirements of the Engineering Dept.
* Knowledge / experience of electrical control panel design for industrial equipment.
* Read, understand and produce LV Electrical front of panel layout drawings, LV electrical control schematics and interconnection diagrams derived from customer, and internal, specifications.
* Liaise with workshop staff to create SOP's and streamline electrical equipment design and build within the company.
* Good database and computer skills. MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc)
* Ability to work unsupervised and create detailed electrical drawings as detailed above and also manufacturing package of drawings, parts lists and BOM's.
Skills/Qualifications:
* Ability to discuss drawings and technical details
* Experience of using AutoCad is essential
* Experience of using Solidworks is desirable
* Electrical / control knowledge is essential
* Knowledge of production engineering practice
* ONC or Equivalent qualification required
