Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from Engineers based in Derbyshire or nearby who can offer experience working with pumps or centrifuges interested in a Field Service Engineer opportunity.

The Role:
As a Centrifuge Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing centrifuge systems for their clients. This includes installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a range of centrifuge models. You will work both on-site and in-house, ensuring that our clients' equipment operates at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on centrifuge equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Install and commission new centrifuge systems at client sites.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate service records and prepare detailed reports.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while working on-site or in-house.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and departments to improve service offerings.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: A strong background in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic engineering. Specific experience with centrifuge systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a field service role or related industry such as sewage treatment, waste water, manufacturing or similar is preferred.
  • Education: A degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (or a related field).
  • Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites as required. A valid driver's license is essential.
  • Other: Flexibility to work outside standard hours when necessary.
