Founded by a leading industry expert this company received VC funding a few years ago and is now on a steep growth trajectory. Specialising in the development and manufacture of niche products they have invested heavily in technology and research. This has enabled them now to become one of the market leaders in their field whilst also maintaining strong profit margins. As part of their planned strategic expansion they are about to relocate from their Lancashire base to an improved manufacturing facility in Bolton and would like to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to assist them on the next phase of their journey.

The ideal candidate for this position would preferably be a CIMA / ACCA or ACA qualified accountant with previous experience of a financial management role in a growing SME. Manufacturing / Engineering sector experience would be advantageous, their production processes are very specialised and as such require careful monitoring and control of raw materials. Currently operating on SAGE line 50 it is envisaged that one of the early projects for the new Financial Controller will be to help them upgrade to SAGE 200 or similar ERP system. The role will carry responsibility for a small finance / admin team so will be very hands on and will include:

The role will report into the MD and you will also get exposure to a part-time FD who has a wealth of experience supporting high growth companies. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller or alternatively a Finance Manager / strong management accountant looking to step up. Please apply now for consideration. Immediate availability / short notice period preferred.
