A market leading manufacturing business is experiencing an exciting time of growth and are on the lookout for a talented and ambitious Senior Cost Accountant. This role is perfect for someone with a manufacturing background who is proactive, solutions-oriented, and ready to drive financial excellence within our dynamic company. You will play a crucial role in financial planning and reporting, working closely with the Head of Finance to enhance financial performance and support strategic decisions.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial planning, reporting processes, and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Head of Finance to provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and monitoring of the general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and adherence to group reporting standards.
  • Act as a finance business partner to Department Heads, supporting and driving finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain responsibility for a range of financial operations within the business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, reporting, tax compliance, and general financial management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in managing general ledgers, fixed assets, AR, and AP.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented with exceptional ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive financial projects and initiatives.
  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA Qualification or Qualified by experience
